Rozanne
Rozanne has been part of Magnet’s Community Development work in Clanwilliam since its inception. She is now 19 years old and relocating to Cape Town for the duration of the training programme.

Musa
Musa is 22 years old. She is part of the Africa Jam Theatre Organisation in Makhaza Khayelitsha. She worked on the music for Thabo Mbeki and other Nightmares in 2011.

Marlon
Marlon is 19 years old and matriculated at Eerste River High School in 2011 receiving 77% in Dramatic Arts. He was accepted into UCT Drama School at the end of 2012.

Dustin
Dustin is 19 years old and from Eerste River. He matriculated from an Arts and Culture focus school in 2011 with 84% in Dramatic Arts. He was accepted into UCT Drama Department at the end of 2012.

Anelisa
Anelisa is 22 years old and lives in Delft South. She is active in Community Drama groups and a member of the Rainbow Arts Organisation. Anelisa had a baby in 2012 and is splitting her training time between office duties and performance skills classes.

Asiphe is 20 years old and comes from Makhaza, Khayelitsha. She has experience in community drama groups in Khayelitsha.

Stacy
Stacy is 19 years old and lives in Strandfontein. She matriculated in 2010, and spent some time at New Africa Theatre Academy in 2011.

Lwanda
Lwanda is 25 years old and lives in Delft. He is a coordinating director of Sophumelela Theatre Group and an actor. He has also made a name for himself in poetry circles, by performing with well-known South African poets.

Sivuyile
Sivuyile is 23 years old and lives in Khayelitsha. As a scholar he received numerous acting awards at the Artscape High School Drama Festival.

Yonela is 22 years old. She is a member of Rainbow Arts Organisation and lives in Delft South.

Jeoffrey
Jeoffrey is 22 years old. He recently performed in the exciting new production Thabo Mbeki and Other Nightmares. He lives in Phillipi.

Thukelo
Thukelo is 26 years old and lives in Gugulethu. He is a very focussed and talented young man who shows great potential as a physical theatre performer.

Nomzamo
Nomzamo is 26 years old. and comes from Port Elizabeth. She originally auditioned for UCT, and when she was not accepted at the university, she contacted Magnet Theatre and has been accepted there. She is relocating to Cape Town for the duration of the training programme.

Eddie is 24 years old and lives in Durbanville. He spent time at the New Africa Theatre Academy in 2009.

Babalwa
Babalwa is 19 years old and lives in Khayelitsha. She matriculated in 2011 with excellent marks in isiXhosa and Life Orientation, and is an active member of the community drama group Future Line Arts Academy.

Thulisa
Thulisa is 21 years old is a member of Popiehuis Productions and attended drama classes at the Cape Academy of Dramatic Art. She lives in Old Crossroads.

Bulelani
Bulelani is 24 years old and lives in Khayelitsha. He is an experienced community drama group practitioner, and shows a lot of potential as actor, director and theatre maker. His production 'Worst of Both Worlds' won Best Production at the Zabalaza Festival.

Sipenathi
Siphenathi lives in Phillipi and is 22 years old. He has attended diverse theatre workshops and courses: puppetry with UNIMA SA and workshops run by Janice Honeyman.

Lubabalo
Lubabalo is 23 years old. He lives in Khayelitsha and has been a member of the Iqhude Drama group for a number of years performing at various community festivals.

Sisipho is 22 years old and lives in Khayelitsha. She is a member of Imbawula Theatre Company.
