Anga Gola
Anga Gola is an actor, physical theatre performer and facilitator from Khayelitsha with a deep passion for the performing arts. He spent 8 years in a community based organisation Khwela C.B.O where he gained experience doing drama, performing in impactful productions such as Social Injustice, Lak’utshonilanga, The Black Pain and Ivili (The Wheel) – all written and directed by Lukhanyo Langa. In 2023 he joined The Rainbow Academy, doing a one year course in performing arts and film production, where he was honoured with a Student Of The Year Award. Later in 2023 I was appointed as a Drama Facilitator at Luhlaza High School where I wrote and directed my original plays – The Society and Stranded. Both productions were selected to participate in the Artscape High School Drama Festival. In 2025 he got accepted at Magnet Theatre to be one of their trainees. I’ve had a privilege to part of chorus work Ingceba Zemithandazo by Mandla Mbothwe, Animal Farm adapted and directed by Morapeleng Molekoa, Garage Gang directed by Jennie Reznek and Jayne Batsofin and Flea In Her Ear directed by Qondiswa James. He always remains deeply committed to growing in the industry, always respecting his craft, loving it deeply, and giving his all to it every time he is given the chance.
